Helpful bed-making and a note about comments

Hullo! Two things!

Thing one- Hello you lovely people who have kindly decided to 'follow' me! I've never had a follower before. Apart from all the other hounds on the track eating my dust cos I was so FAST. Zoooooooom!

Thing two- I've been answering comments in my comment section (and thank you for commenting, for it does make me happy to speak to other people and hounds!) but this is not the best way of doing it, as noone gets notified that I've answered and then I look all rude!

The way around this is commenting back to you on your blog, but sometimes answering a coment on a commenters own most recent blogpost can be all confusing (like this sentence), but I guess that's the only way forward? So that's what I'll be doing from now on!

Boring bit over- photos now!

Mummie was making the bed in the spare room- we helped!
Yes, mummie? Look, you need a cover that is two hounds in length. Go fetch.

And one hound in width, ok?

'Mummie stop with the photos!' says Ambam

Ok, thanks for dropping by, have a happy and houndly Sunday! I have dinners to eat and lamposts to sniff and dreams to dream and toys to nom on and balls to chase! Wheeeee!

Looks like you were both very helpful in making that bed, LOL. We like to hold the bed down that way too.

I use intensedebate so people who want to can get notification of my replies, and the comments 'thread' so you can reply to specific comments, unlike just the blogger comment interface which just lists the comments one after the other. It depends how technical your humans are, because some other bloggers have had problems with getting intensedebate to work. Just go to the intensedebate website and have a look to see what is involved and whether it's for you.

You help make the bed like Morgan and I do! Mom is shockingly unappreciative of this, and I have to admit that it kinks my tail. I like most things about her, but if she didn't make me get out of bed, she'd be perfect.

I've seen some people use intense debate and disqus on their blogs to notify people when they reply. I'm pretty sure you can use either of those on a Blogger blog. I admit, I usually answer people's questions on their blogs.

I hardly ever make my bed any more because Beryl likes to rearrange it to suit her!

Yes, replying to comments can be a bother in Blogger. I tried Intense Debate because I liked how it works on Jet's blog but I'm one of those who had problems with it. I lost the comment box totally! I got rid of it rather than play around in case I made things worse and the comment box came back. Now that I'm on self hosted Wordpress I've installed a plugin that sends an email of my reply to commenters. I tend to know which bloggers reply to comments and just go back and check.

You have Mummie wrapped around your little paws don't you? Hehe! I've been having exactly the same debate with myself about comments. I used to reply in the senders blog but as you say it then often didn't tie in with what they were talking about so now I reply on my own blog & hope they check back. I like the idea of the thingy that Greyhounds CAN sit has. I may talk to other Mum who is much more technical & see if she can do anything. Deccy x

Amo meus amiguinhos...
